Winter skies along the coast can be wonderfully dramatic, and the windier days often reveal the rugged character of Peveril Point at its best. On this morning a fiery burst of colour lit up the sky and washed across the incoming tide, creating a striking and atmospheric scene.

Veiled Kingdom

This drone aerial photograph captures Corfe Castle at sunrise, rising above a layer of mist that covers the Purbeck landscape. The elevated viewpoint shows the castle clearly defined against the surrounding countryside, with the soft morning light and distant views towards Poole Harbour adding depth to the scene.
