The sunrise framed in the window of the Victorian shelter on Swanage Pier. Soft pastel colours and a mackerel sky reflect off the brass plaques set into the pier’s wooden planks. This alignment of the sun with the shelter’s window only happens for a few days, twice a year. Capturing it involved careful planning and timing to coincide with the right sunrise position and suitable weather conditions. Capturing images like this of my hometown is always very rewarding.
