Dorset Seascapes Photo Workshop

The winter months are by far my favourites to explore and photograph the varied coastline in my home county of Dorset. From late autumn until early spring the sun rises and sets over some of the best coastal viewpoints, rugged shorelines and small coves. The seas tend to be a bit more wild and, photographically speaking, the empty beaches and cliffs are never better than at this time of year.

I have put together this workshop so that we can not only visit some of the iconic locations that the Jurassic Coast has to offer, but to visit some of the lesser photographed sections which are further off the beaten track. The days in January are short, but expect to get yours step count in as we enjoy some exhilarating scenery.

To make best use of the weather forecasts and our time our itinerary will be fluid. I know the entire coast well, having grown up here, so rest assured there are no shortage of options. We will visit locations from Swanage in the east and as far as Lyme Regis/West Bay in the west and plenty in between. Contact me for further information.

You can also learn about shooting techniques such as focus stacking, panorama stitching and multiple exposures. As a photographer who prints, colour management and the fundamentals of a calibrated digital workflow are integral to my teaching.
