The remains of the old pier in Swanage sit alongside the newer Victorian pier which is restored and kept in fantastic condition by the Pier Trust. The old pier is now left to the elements and year by year it's posts become fewer. You'll see the from the other images of it on my website how is is sucumbing to the elements. It's fascinating to see the changes and each season brings new shapes and form to photograph.
