Wellington Tower

The Wellington Tower came from London as ballast on one of the boats used to transport locally quarried Purbeck Stone to London. Purbeck Stone was used extensively in London, including Southwark Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

In this photograph you can see it on the Southern part of Swanage close to Peveril Point.
