Andy Farrer is an award-winning landscape photographer best known for his atmospheric images of Dorset, especially the Jurassic Coast and Isle of Purbeck area where he grew up and still lives.
His photographic journey began while he was still at school and inspired him to complete a full time photography diploma. It was after working in many genres including weddings, print labs and a camera shop, that his interest in landscape photography flourished. At the time digital photography started to become more mainstream.
Andy was awarded the prize of overall winner of the prestigious Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2015 with his image “Bat’s Head in the Snow.” His portfolios showcase not only British landscapes, but some breathtaking vistas from around the world.
He currently shoots with the Canon EOS R5 and a trio of RF lenses, the 15-35mm, 24-105mm and 100-500mm and Kase filters. He also uses Canon wide format printers in his dedicated print studio, in Swanage. Andy formed Fine Art Inkorporated in 2017 to provide printing services for other photographers and artists as well as to produce his own fine art prints. The studio is the venue for his print workshops and processing elements of the one-to-ones he offers. He leads workshops for Light & Land in the UK and overseas.
His images have been published in magazines such as The National Trust Magazine, Dorset Life, Outdoor Photographer, Amateur Photographer and on book covers.
