Landscape Photography Capture to Print One-to-One Workshop

This capture to print workshop combines on-location practical photography tuition, processing and printing. Printing has become a popular aspect of my tuition over recent years and this workshop will provide a solid foundation for anyone interested in producing high quality prints of their photographs. The workshop will be tailored to meet your specific needs. It’s not necessary to own a printer as the skills you will learn apply to preparing your files for print, whether you print yourself or order prints online. 

After receiving your booking I will contact you to arrange a suitable date or please get in touch in advance of booking to confirm my availability if you have a specific date in mind. If buying as a gift, I will send a voucher and wait for recipient to schedule their workshop so I don't spoil the surprise.

The price published assumes photographic locations are within an hour of my home and print studio in Swanage. If you have your own printer I am happy to provide tuition in your home, but this may incur an additional cost for travel and / or accommodation, depending on your location. 

A full day is typically 8-10 hours. Start and finish times will vary depending on the season and agenda.

My workshops aim to enhance your photographic skills and creative vision. I cover a wide range of topics, including exposure control, mastering manual mode, using filters effectively (including long exposures), and interpreting landscapes for compelling compositions. You can also learn about shooting techniques such as focus stacking, panorama stitching and multiple exposures. As a photographer who prints, colour management and the fundamentals of a calibrated digital workflow are integral to my teaching. Post-processing tuition incorporates both the technical and practical functions within Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, as well as realising the creative potential for your images. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of colour management which underpins a capture to print workflow. Topics will include, screen calibration, paper choices, soft-proofing, printing and everything between.
