Photography and Digital Processing Workshop
As with the location-based 1-2-1 days, this combined photography and digital processing workshop is tailored to your specific requirements and experience level.
A typical day will begin with a sunrise shoot, followed by a digital processing and printing session and usually concludes with a sunset shoot.
For those new to photography this approach allows a valuable “behind the scenes” insight into the capture to print workflow.
Together you will identify key areas to work on to further your photography, whether they are camera or image processing techniques.
If you have never used filters on the camera, or used a RAW converter, this would be an ideal way to understand the process involved in capturing images, processing them and displaying them online and on paper.
For more experienced photographers:
As a more seasoned photographer you may be more interested in overcoming specific issues you have already identified and fine-tune your skill set.
You may wish to hone your compositions, or use Lightroom and Photoshop together more effectively, learn how to use luminosity masks or improve print accuracy.
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of things often covered on my workshops:
- Location Planning
- Depth of Field
- Controlling Light with Graduated Filters
- Using Filters for creative effects - Long Exposure Photography
- Multiple Exposures
- Adobe Lightroom Training
- Keywording Images and Organising Catalogues
- Photoshop Editing

You're welcome to bring your own laptop and have the screen calibrated and profiled if you like. It’s useful to bring a selection of images on a flash drive or some prints.
In-the-field workshops and photography & processing workshops are interchangeable, so you can book either and decide nearer the booking date which you would like.
if you're buying this as a present you will be sent a gift card in the post.
