It has become very popular to photograph Durdle Door with the sun rising through the arch in mid December, when the sun is as far to the South as it gets before the days start getting longer again, and the sun starts it's journey back towards the North. From the clifftop, it reminded me of line-dancing, as the photographers each had a minute or so to see the sun, before they were in the shade. Each in turn had to pick up their tripod and move the the left and joing the back of the queue for another go.
